About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Champion selection of enterprise Data and Analytics platforms and tools
  • Engage with users and vendors on technology proofs of concept
  • Onboard new platforms and tools for effective organizational adoption
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to identify tooling gaps and inefficiencies
  • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Configure and manage EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, and VPC networking
  • Provision and optimize cloud resources for data pipelines and analytics workloads
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation
  • Ensure infrastructure security through IAM policies, encryption, and network configurations
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and solution architects to improve infrastructure design and performance
  • Document infrastructure processes and configurations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, focused on AWS
  • Experience with structured and unstructured data and data storage technologies including RDS PostgreSQL and S3
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
  • Experience with AWS data and analytics services such as Glue and Redshift
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices including Git, GitHub, CI/CD, and Docker
  • Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Understanding of cloud networking, security, and cost optimization principles
  • Proficient Linux systems administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, shell scripting, system security, user management, and automation
  • AWS certification preferred, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Associate Developer, or Associate Machine Learning Engineer
  • Exposure to big data tools and frameworks such as Spark, Hive, Airflow, Control-M, and StreamSets preferred
  • Experience with Snowflake, AWS Redshift, RDS, and PostgreSQL preferred
  • Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) preferred
  • Experience with Reltio MDM preferred
  • Experience with SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, Textract, and MLflow preferred
  • Experience working in agile or cross-functional teams preferred
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and organize requirements to identify options
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
