About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research target accounts and identify relevant contacts, buying roles, and potential business needs
  • Conduct personalized outbound outreach by phone, email, social channels, and other approved methods
  • Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries by assessing fit, business priorities, timing, and next steps
  • Engage prospects on SIEM, threat detection, incident response, and SOC modernization
  • Schedule qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives and other sales partners
  • Maintain consistent prospect follow-up and support appropriate sales-team handoffs
  • Meet or exceed targets for qualified meetings, pipeline contribution, and activity quality
  • Serve as a day-to-day resource for SDRs on account research, messaging, objection handling, qualification, and follow-up
  • Help onboard team members and share effective prospecting practices
  • Provide coaching through call reviews, role plays, and outreach feedback
  • Promote consistent qualification and handoff standards
  • Help identify process gaps, training needs, and team-performance improvements
  • Partner with Account Executives on territory, account, and pipeline priorities
  • Work with Marketing on campaign responses and target-audience outreach
  • Coordinate with Sales or Revenue Operations on data quality, routing, reporting, and workflow improvements
  • Share prospect feedback and market observations with sales and marketing partners
  • Keep prospect and activity records accurate and current in Salesforce

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or a comparable role, preferably in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity
  • Demonstrated success generating qualified meetings and pipeline through outbound prospecting
  • Experience mentoring, onboarding, or informally coaching other representatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage both technical stakeholders and business leaders
  • Ability to research accounts, personalize outreach, and ask clear qualification questions
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles and CRM systems; Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
  • A collaborative, coachable approach and the resilience to work through prospecting challenges
