About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and grow the export development program
  • Secure funding for the export development program
  • Provide export counseling and technical assistance to existing and prospective clients
  • Develop and implement annual program work plans
  • Ensure compliance with funding source requirements and contractual obligations
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to program staff
  • Oversee fiscal management, reporting, billing, and contract compliance
  • Identify and pursue new funding, partnerships, and business development opportunities
  • Cultivate relationships with local, state, federal, and international stakeholders
  • Complete special projects on time and within budget
  • Represent SEDA-COG at meetings, events, and trade-related activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in International Business or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an export-related field
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of international trade practices and export assistance resources
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical, programmatic, or organizational information to diverse audiences, including public officials, community members, board members, and professional groups
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholder relationships
  • Proficiency with budgeting, contract administration, and program management
  • Resume and cover letter outlining work history, skills, and training
