About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze and process complex or technically difficult general liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine claim exposure
Manage claims through well-developed action plans to timely and appropriate resolution
Manage the litigation process and ensure timely, cost-effective claims resolution
Coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management
Lead team meetings and assign accountability for follow-up items
Gather compliance and claims processing information for team meetings
Assist in interviews of adjusters and clerical staff and provide feedback to the hiring manager
Support the team lead with monthly reviews of adjuster workloads, identify trends, and suggest adjustments
May supervise up to three direct reports
Administer company personnel policies and follow staffing standards and training recommendations
Interview, hire, establish performance development plans, and conduct performance discussions
Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to promote maximum performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred
Experience in Southeast jurisdiction
Florida experience necessary
Florida licensing required
Clear and conceptual thinking ability
Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion
Ability to handle work-related stress
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to meet deadlines
Computer keyboarding
