About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze and process auto and general liability property damage claims
  • Process claims, assess damage, make payments, and ensure claim files are properly documented and correctly coded based on the policy
  • Develop and maintain action plans to meet state-required contract deadlines and move files toward prompt and appropriate resolution
  • Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities; secure and dispose of salvage
  • Communicate claim action and processing with insureds, clients, and agents or brokers when appropriate
  • Maintain professional client relations
  • Perform coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments
  • Support the organization's quality programs
  • Travel as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Secure and maintain the State adjusting licenses as required for the position
  • Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements
  • Ability to review and assess Property Damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses to effectively negotiate first and third party claims
  • Knowledge of total loss processing, State salvage forms and title requirements preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations
  • Ability to meet physical, auditory/visual, and mental work environment requirements
  • Ability to travel as required
