About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a caseload of domestic property damage claims across Milton Keynes/Northampton
  • Visit customers at their homes
  • Coordinate visits from contractors
  • Settle each claim
  • Act as a calming presence for customers experiencing property damage
  • Compile comprehensive reports
  • Plan and manage your own working week
  • Communicate with policyholders, insurers, contractors and other stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A full UK Driving Licence; essential ability to travel by car
  • Understanding of how a home insurance policy operates
  • Understanding of the basic makeup of a domestic property
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex details clearly
  • Ability to negotiate fair settlements
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Effective time management and task prioritisation
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple claims simultaneously
  • Use of Apple software such as iPads or other tablets is helpful but not vital
