About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and lead platform product strategy aligned with enterprise priorities, business objectives, and technology direction
  • Establish and communicate platform vision, roadmap, sequencing, and long-term platform evolution
  • Conduct discovery activities to identify customer needs, stakeholder priorities, operational challenges, platform opportunities, and desired business outcomes
  • Define and oversee platform OKRs, KPIs, adoption metrics, and success measures
  • Ensure platform investment priorities support scalable, reusable, secure, and high-quality enterprise capabilities in partnership with Architecture and Engineering
  • Evaluate platform performance and continuously improve business value, operational effectiveness, and technical outcomes
  • Oversee intake and evaluation of platform requests from product teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners
  • Establish prioritization frameworks, demand governance processes, and investment guardrails
  • Own and prioritize the platform backlog and define desired outcomes and success measures
  • Lead complex prioritization and trade-off decisions across competing initiatives, dependencies, risks, and resource constraints
  • Partner with Tech Development Managers and Engineering Leads on effort, capacity, delivery feasibility, and sequencing
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, readiness reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Operations, Compliance, and Product leadership to ensure platform scalability, reliability, performance, and technical integrity
  • Prioritize and sponsor platform health initiatives, including resiliency, observability, reliability, lifecycle management, maintenance, and technical debt reduction
  • Track and report platform outcome and service-health metrics
  • Monitor platform risks, dependencies, delivery issues, and operational concerns and drive mitigation, prioritization, or escalation
  • Coordinate resolution of cross-functional platform dependencies across systems, data, integrations, vendors, releases, and service operations
  • Align stakeholders across business, product, engineering, architecture, operations, and technology teams
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for platform strategy, roadmap, priorities, product decisions, adoption, and value outcomes
  • Communicate platform strategy, roadmap progress, adoption metrics, service health, and value realization outcomes
  • Advocate for platform adoption and best practices throughout the organization
  • Establish and continuously improve product management frameworks, standards, and processes
  • Drive improvements in demand intake, prioritization, governance, backlog management, and performance reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform scalability, efficiency, automation, data quality, and operational excellence
  • Support enterprise product operating model maturity and platform transformation initiatives
  • Provide product leadership, coaching, and guidance to Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other product professionals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Travel as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Eight (8) years of experience in technical product management, platform product management, product strategy, requirements intake, technology delivery, or shared services/platform role
  • Experience with agile development and engineering, architecture, operations, production support, or platform reliability is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of platform product strategy, technical product management, and product lifecycle management
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, backlog management, user story development, and requirements management
  • Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, system integrations, architecture concepts, and technology delivery
  • Knowledge of platform reliability, operational support, observability, security, maintenance, and lifecycle management
  • Advanced backlog prioritization, governance, and demand management capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, influence, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to balance customer needs, business outcomes, operational requirements, and technical constraints
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate data, risks, tradeoffs, and platform performance
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and align stakeholders across multiple business and technology domains
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills
  • Knowledge of product operating models, platform-centric delivery, and outcome-based management approaches
