About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and own Sedric's AI reference architecture end to end
- Lead architecture reviews and set the technology roadmap
- Design and build backend architecture for AI agents, LLM pipelines, and retrieval systems
- Write a large share of the production code
- Take AI capabilities from prototype to production in a multi-tenant SaaS environment
- Optimize model selection, prompt and token efficiency, caching, batching, latency, and infrastructure spend
- Build production monitoring and evaluation for AI quality, accuracy, false positives, drift, and cost per customer
- Set engineering standards for AI development
- Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and design reviews
- Bring new AI techniques into the product and prove them in production
- Monitor how systems perform with real customers
- Report to the AI team Dev Team Lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of ML/AI architecture experience in a SaaS company
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- Experience building agentic systems with tool use, planning, and multi-step reasoning in production
- Experience setting up AI governance and evaluation harnesses from scratch
- Proven, hands-on experience with AI in production systems
- Ability to take a project from concept to shipped and interface with stakeholders throughout
- Relevant degree
- Comfortable in front of customers and executives, translating technical tradeoffs into business terms
