Key responsibilities & impact

Take ownership of assigned files
Work closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial preparation
Drive cases forward while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organization
Handle diverse matters including construction defect, premises liability, product liability, and other complex general liability cases
Collaborate with the legal team on sophisticated litigation matters
Manage drafting, editing, proofreading, billing, time entry, e-filing, and online legal research activities

What you’ll need

Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in civil defense litigation
Experience handling Texas matters in both state and federal courts
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal terminology
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
Meticulous attention to detail in drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows applications, e-filing systems, and online research tools
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including interaction with senior-level professionals
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Sound judgment in managing a diverse workload
Experience with billing and time entry
Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but not required
