About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take ownership of assigned files
- Work closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial preparation
- Drive cases forward while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organization
- Handle matters including construction defect, premises liability, product liability, and other complex general liability cases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in civil defense litigation
- Experience handling Texas matters in both state and federal courts
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal terminology
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail in drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows applications, e-filing systems, and online research tools
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including interaction with senior-level professionals
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Sound judgment in managing a diverse workload
- Experience with billing and time entry
- Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but not required
