About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide analytical, technical, and programmatic support to NAVWAR Training System Program Office initiatives
  • Support Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training (LVCt) initiatives focused on Information Warfare systems, Fleet training, and operational readiness
  • Research and analyze science, engineering, business, and data-processing problems
  • Develop, recommend, and implement solutions to application, system administration, and network concerns
  • Perform systems management and integration functions and improve existing systems
  • Review system capabilities, workflows, and schedule limitations
  • Transform user requests and requirements into technical design specifications
  • Serve as a liaison between technical, operational, programmatic, and Fleet stakeholders
  • Support Navy acquisition programs and Department of Defense organizations
  • Assist with planning, coordination, integration, execution, and assessment of LVCt events and Fleet training exercises
  • Analyze Information Warfare system capabilities and training requirements for LVCt and distributed training environments
  • Coordinate with NAVWAR program offices, Fleet commands, warfare centers, training organizations, and other stakeholders
  • Support development, review, and tracking of technical, operational, and training requirements
  • Identify interoperability, connectivity, configuration, and integration requirements affecting LVCt events
  • Support exercise planning meetings, technical coordination meetings, working groups, and related activities
  • Track schedules, milestones, risks, issues, action items, and dependencies
  • Develop briefings, reports, schedules, technical documentation, and programmatic products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting Navy or Department of Defense systems, training, operations, exercises, or acquisition programs
  • Familiarity with Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training (LVCt), distributed training environments, or synthetic training capabilities
  • Familiarity with Navy Fleet training and exercise planning
  • Ability to analyze technical and operational requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Project
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with technical, operational, programmatic, and Fleet stakeholders
  • Ability to learn and apply technical concepts to assigned duties
  • Secret clearance
  • Desired: Previous NAVWAR, NIWC, Fleet, or Navy training support experience
  • Desired: Experience supporting LVCt events or distributed Fleet training
  • Desired: Familiarity with Navy Information Warfare systems and training capabilities
  • Desired: Experience supporting afloat or shore-based Fleet training exercises
  • Desired: Familiarity with Navy acquisition and Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MPT) processes
  • Desired: FEA/NTSP familiarization
  • Desired: OPNAV MPT acquisition policy familiarization
