About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage accounts payable, including vouching, check runs, approvals, and invoice/packing-slip repositories
- Support general ledger close activities and ensure accurate transaction recording
- Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
- Support cost and inventory accounting for manufacturing operations
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations with thorough documentation
- Develop monthly financial analysis for internal and external reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage fixed assets, including CIP tracking, capitalization, depreciation, and periodic audits
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and drive process improvements
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide backup support to accounts receivable
- Meet key performance indicators for financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting variance accuracy, and journal-entry accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–4 years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Integrity and discretion with confidential information
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a growth mindset
- Must communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Standard working hours of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM–2:00 PM Friday
- Some travel to site may be required throughout the year
