About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with internal business units to identify needs and objectives and recommend suitable suppliers
  • Vet requirements to ensure they can be operationalized
  • Support capital expenditure (CapEx) sourcing activities, including technical RFQs and equipment vendor negotiations
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations stakeholders
  • Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals
  • Design and implement RFP, RFQ, and RFI sourcing events
  • Negotiate vendor specifications and optimal value
  • Structure evaluation criteria for equitable and consistent preferred-vendor selection
  • Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions
  • Maintain supplier relationships
  • Track contract renewals and expiries and formulate supplier engagement strategies
  • Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis
  • Comply with applicable rules, legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Manage vendors in North America

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience with demonstrated expertise in pricing / contract negotiation and ownership of RFP, RFI, RFQ processes
  • Expertise with capital expenditure (Capex) sourcing
  • Experience sourcing Manufacturing and IT equipment
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Undergraduate degree
  • High tech industry background
  • SCMP or other Supply Chain/Purchasing certification
  • Exposure to SAP
  • Experience with AI tools like Claude
