About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate depalletizer machinery efficiently and accurately
- Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed to maintain quality and productivity
- Verify brite cans are the correct commodity for each order
- Remove dented or damaged cans before introducing them to the label line
- Use the P-244 system to account for brite cans used for work tasks
- Update the Label Line Downtime Log to record issues for future analysis
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot depalletizer equipment
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines
- Maintain production records and reports
- Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete approximately 2–4 weeks of training on the day shift
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with label line operations or willingness to learn
- Ability to operate or learn to operate a can depalletizer and the P244 inventory system
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
- Commitment to safe behavior
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with Seneca coding for brite and finished items
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
- Ability to take initiative and seek process improvements
- Self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Availability Monday–Friday, 4:30 pm–3:00 am, with overtime as needed
- Approximately 40 hours per week for about three months, increasing to approximately 50–60 hours during the remainder of the year
