About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop models in SAP/Midas and produce documentation, including the review of drawings and models
- Perform structural calculations for bridges and viaducts, metro and railway structures, and buildings for basic and detailed design projects
- Work on projects under contracts with CCCC/CRBG and Acciona, including Line 6, future Lines 16 and Line 6 extensions, São Paulo Metro Line 2, and future projects
- Provide occasional support for metro projects and other structures under ECI
- Develop internal calculation procedures for the department
- Supervise and validate calculations prepared by junior and mid-level professionals and interns
- Initially work as a structural design engineer, with the possibility of eventually assuming technical leadership of the ECI team and providing strong support to the PVI team
- Produce documentation and review drawings and models from other disciplines to prevent structural clashes and incompatibilities
- Prepare calculation reports and finite element models using SAP/Midas/Strap and other software
- Work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate with management, colleagues, clients, suppliers, contractors, and third parties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- At least 11–20 years of professional experience
- Extensive experience in the structural design of reinforced and prestressed concrete bridges and viaducts
- Experience in the design of metro systems, buildings, and steel structures is an advantage
- Experience as a modeling engineer using SAP/Midas/Strap
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BIM methodology
- English or Spanish language skills are an advantage
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding, respecting, and applying SENER’s philosophy and core values, as well as its organizational and operational principles, standards, and procedures
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
