About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Control inventory for standard vendor accounts
- Monitor inventory daily and create purchase orders
- Schedule air shipments and manage the lowest freight cost to destination
- Monitor demand changes and review them with inside sales
- Adjust inventory quantities and involve managers for large demand changes or vendor negotiations
- Create and manage part numbers in the ERP system
- Prepare and enter internal and external purchase orders
- Perform data entry for inter-company orders
- Enter transfer orders
- Process drop-ship invoices
- File and scan documents
- Create work orders and perform light assembly of OEM products and sales samples
- Assist the warehouse with repackaging, relabeling, and recounting products
- Track shipping advice and vendor promise dates
- Update promise dates on purchase orders
- Negotiate product pricing with vendors
- Track purchase-order status with vendors and couriers/forwarders
- Address Sales team inquiries to manufacturers
- Manage inventory of assigned products
- Generate reports for managers when necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain Management preferred)
- 2-3 years’ experience with inventory management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
