About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the SVP, Accounting & Finance
Lead the month-end and year-end close and prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reporting, and financial analysis
Ensure accounting practices and financial reporting comply with U.S. GAAP
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, accruals, and reconciliations
Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation
Support annual audits, tax filings, and external financial reporting requirements
Lead and improve cost accounting processes, including product costing, inventory valuation, labor and overhead allocation, and COGS
Analyze production costs, margins, variances, and operational performance and provide actionable insights to management
Partner with operations to improve cost visibility, financial accountability, and operational performance
Develop, document, and implement internal controls and approval processes
Serve as the key finance owner of NetSuite, including configuration, reporting, workflows, controls, and utilization
Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and workflows, including automation and integration
Partner with IT and other departments to support operational and reporting needs
Lead, develop, and support the accounting team
Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong technical accounting foundation and knowledge of GAAP
CPA required
10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including Controller or senior accounting leadership experience
Strong NetSuite experience
Strong cost accounting experience
Demonstrated experience developing and strengthening internal controls
Proven ability to streamline processes and improve financial systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to work at both the detailed accounting level and strategically across the organization
