Key responsibilities & impact

Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
Apply professional nursing standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
Use clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by the clinical area
Provide nursing care for acute cardiac, stroke, and IMCU/stepdown patients
Document care using the EPIC system

Requirements

What you’ll need

RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN
Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in IMCU/Stepdown Medical Surgical
EPIC documentation system experience required
Current ACLS, BLS and NIHSS required
Ability to meet and maintain specialty-specific requirements
