About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide virtual nursing support from the Virtual Care hub call center
- Perform nursing duties via video call, including admissions, discharges, patient teaching, and medication reconciliation
- Support bedside nurses and alleviate workload through technology-enabled care
- Handle administrative tasks that do not require hands-on care
- Help ensure patients are informed about the care they have received
- Collaborate with bedside nurses as an additional member of the hospital care team
- Communicate with patients via HIPAA-compliant audio-visual devices
- Support patient safety, privacy, workflow, and overall patient experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in nursing required
- Compact Multi-State RN license covering Virginia/North Carolina required
- Registered Nurse License required
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- 5 years of recent acute care bedside nursing experience required
- BSN or MSN preferred
- NIHSS and ACLS preferred
- Epic experience preferred
- IMCU experience preferred
