About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide virtual nursing support to bedside hospital nurses from the Virtual Care hub call center
Perform nursing duties via video call, including admissions, discharges, patient teaching, and medication reconciliation
Support bedside teams by alleviating workload and handling administrative tasks that do not require hands-on care
Help ensure patients are informed about their care and receive safe, high-quality care
Communicate with patients through HIPAA-compliant audio-visual devices in hospital rooms
Collaborate with bedside nurses as an additional member of the hospital care team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree in nursing required
Compact Multi-State RN license for VA/NC required
Registered Nurse License required
BLS required within 90 days of hire
5 years of recent acute care bedside nursing experience required
BSN or MSN preferred
NIHSS and ACLS preferred
Epic experience preferred
IMCU experience preferred
