About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide virtual nursing support to bedside nurses using technology
- Perform nursing duties via video call from the Virtual Care hub call center
- Conduct admissions, discharges, patient teaching, and medication reconciliation
- Handle administrative tasks that do not require hands-on care
- Support bedside teams to alleviate workload and improve patient and staff satisfaction
- Collaborate with bedside nurses as an additional member of the hospital care team
- Communicate with patients through HIPAA-compliant audio-visual devices
- Help ensure patient safety, privacy, workflow efficiency, and quality of care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in Nursing required
- Registered Nurse License required
- Compact/Multi-State license required
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- 5 years of recent acute care bedside nursing experience required
- BSN or MSN preferred
- NIHSS and ACLS preferred
- IMCU experience preferred
- Epic experience preferred
