About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform competent nursing care using the nursing process
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
- Apply standards of professional nursing performance, including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization
- Use clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards for the medical telemetry/cardiology clinical area
- Maintain specialty-specific requirements
- Provide inpatient medical telemetry/cardiology care at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN
- Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in inpatient MED/SURG; Cardiology is a plus
- EPIC documentation system experience required
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
- Ability to work third shift (nights)
- 14-week temporary traveler assignment
