About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
- Apply professional nursing standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
- Maintain clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards for the specific clinical area
- Meet and maintain requirements defined by the specialty
- Provide inpatient medical telemetry/cardiology nursing care on the night shift as a traveler
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN
- Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in inpatient MED/SURG; Cardiology a plus
- EPIC documentation system experience required
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
