About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
  • Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
  • Apply standards of professional performance, including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
  • Use clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by the Emergency Department
  • Work a 14-week temporary position on 1 PM–1 AM shifts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree – Nursing, Bachelor's Degree – Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing
  • Current TNCC certification required
  • Current ACLS, BLS & NIHSS certifications required
  • Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in Virginia
  • At least 2 years of recent hospital Emergency Department experience as an RN required
  • EPIC user experience strongly preferred
  • Flexibility in scheduling required
  • Must treat this as a primary position and not schedule around another job
  • 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
