About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform competent nursing care using the nursing process
  • Assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, coordinate care, teach, promote health, and evaluate patient outcomes
  • Apply professional nursing standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization
  • Assess and admit patients
  • Conduct rounding checks
  • Administer medications
  • Communicate with family members
  • Provide overall care for assigned patients
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of recent RN bedside experience in an acute care hospital IMCU/stepdown setting
  • EPIC user experience
  • BLS certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN
  • RN license valid to work in the State of NC
  • Meet and maintain specialty-specific requirements, including BLS and NIHSS
  • 36 hours per week for a 14-week assignment
  • Night shift availability
