About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process
- Perform assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
- Practice according to professional nursing standards, including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization
- Apply clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards for the IMCU/Stepdown specialty
- Work as a Registered Nurse Traveler in the Acute Cardiac/Stroke/IMCU unit during day shifts
- Complete a 14-week temporary assignment
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN
- Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in IMCU/Stepdown Medical Surgical
- EPIC documentation system experience required
- Must maintain requirements defined by the specific specialty
