About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
- Apply professional nursing standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
- Use clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards for the IMCU/Stepdown specialty
- Provide care during a 14-week temporary Registered Nurse traveler assignment on the Acute Cardiac/Stroke/IMCU day shift
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN
- Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in IMCU/Stepdown or Medical Surgical
- EPIC documentation system experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS and NIHSS required
- Meets and maintains requirements defined by the specific specialty
