About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process
  • Perform patient assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
  • Follow professional nursing standards covering ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
  • Assess and admit patients
  • Perform rounding checks
  • Administer medications
  • Communicate with family members
  • Provide overall care for assigned patients
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure quality patient care

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of recent RN bedside experience in an acute care hospital medical/surgical setting
  • EPIC user experience
  • BLS certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN
  • RN license valid to work in the State of NC
  • Meet and maintain requirements defined by the specific specialty
  • Meet and maintain BLS and NIHSS requirements
  • Ability to work third shift/night schedule
  • Ability to work 36 hours per week for 14 weeks
