About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
- Apply professional nursing standards covering ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
- Use clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by the acute medical telemetry area
- Provide registered nursing care during a 14-week temporary night-shift traveler assignment
- Document care using the EPIC system
Requirements
What you’ll need- RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN
- Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in medical or telemetry
- EPIC documentation system experience
- Meets and maintains requirements defined by the specific specialty
