About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
- Apply professional nursing performance standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization
- Provide clinical knowledge and skills appropriate to the medical telemetry unit
- Work as a traveler registered nurse on a 14-week temporary night assignment
- Document using the EPIC system
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 or more years of recent RN bedside medical telemetry experience
- RN degree – ADN, BSN or MSN
- Valid RN license to practice in Virginia
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- EPIC documentation system experience
- Must meet and maintain requirements defined by the specific specialty
