About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Learn the basics of actuarial functions through exposure to a broad range of insurance products and actuarial methodologies
- Participate in project work throughout the internship
- Compile and categorize data
- Complete assignments related to monitoring rate adequacy
- Manage corporate insurance risks
- Perform basic statistical analysis
- Evaluate loss and expense reserves
- Become familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies
- Work with a mentor and network with leadership through social events
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics or related field preferred
- At least one actuarial exam complete is preferred
- Minimum in-major GPA of 3.0
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029
- Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
