About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and tune backend services and task-based pipelines that ingest, analyze and compare builds
- Own features end-to-end from CI build arrival through UI decision-making
- Maintain mobile binary analysis and large-scale image comparison codebases
- Share the pipeline, GitHub integration and on-call responsibilities with the Sentry team
- Extend products based on feedback and propose further product development
- Own GitHub integration, including PR status checks, comments, approvals, webhooks, races, duplicates and missing-baseline edge cases
- Ship frontend features such as treemaps, build comparisons and diff viewers for huge datasets
- Deploy across regions and manage metrics, logging and on-call debugging for customer builds
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years building production web services
- Strong Python; Django preferred
- Typed, tested code
- Working proficiency in React and TypeScript
- Experience with async task systems and event pipelines, including idempotency, locking, retries and failure modes
- Experience with Postgres schema design and migrations under rolling deploys
- Pragmatic rollout habits such as feature flags and revertable changes
- Performance experience including profiling, parallelism, memory reduction and large-file streaming through object storage
- Bonus: mobile build artifacts and tooling such as LIEF, bundletool, apksigner, link maps, DWARF and code signing
- Bonus: image processing or pixel-diff tooling
- Bonus: GitHub Apps or the Checks API
- Bonus: data visualization, especially treemaps
- Bonus: developer tools, CI or observability products
