About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Merchandise and maintain company-distributed products in supermarkets and retail stores
  • Maintain attractive product presentation in compliance with planograms
  • Ensure adequate product availability and planogram compliance
  • Obtain additional shelf-facing wherever possible
  • Identify suitable positions for floor and shelf displays
  • Build displays and maintain display materials
  • Install point-of-sale materials in key areas
  • Remove damaged and expired goods from shelves
  • Report out-of-stock situations to the Merchandising Supervisor, Regional Sales Manager, and Sales Representative
  • Report competitors' promotions, pricing, and other significant activities
  • Ensure correct regular and promotional pricing, with special attention to in-store promotions
  • Maintain good relationships with retailers and high standards
  • Display assigned products in prominent positions
  • Monitor competitive product lines and relay information to the Supervisor
  • Work independently to increase sales in outlets
  • Meet deadlines for preparing and distributing reports
  • Meet specified sales targets
  • Execute special project initiatives as communicated

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 CSEC subjects
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in sales or marketing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in the merchandising field/retail would be an asset
  • Excellent time management, customer service, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Must be able to function independently and handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure
  • Must obtain retailers' permission to put up displays
  • Must be punctual and consistently available to work on Saturdays
