About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Merchandise and maintain all company-distributed products in supermarkets and retail stores
  • Maintain attractive product presentation in compliance with the planogram
  • Ensure adequate product availability and set compliance
  • Obtain additional shelf-facing where possible
  • Identify suitable positions for floor and shelf displays and obtain retailer permission
  • Build displays and maintain display materials
  • Install point-of-sale materials in key areas
  • Remove damaged and expired goods from shelves
  • Report out-of-stock situations to the Merchandising Supervisor, Regional Sales Manager, and Sales Representative
  • Report significant activities such as competitors’ promotions and pricing
  • Ensure correct regular and promotional pricing, with special attention to in-store promotions
  • Maintain good relationships with retailers and high standards
  • Display assigned products prominently
  • Monitor competitive product lines and relay information to the Supervisor
  • Work independently to increase sales in outlets
  • Meet reporting deadlines and specified sales targets
  • Execute special projects as communicated

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 CSEC subjects
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in sales or marketing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in the merchandising field/retail would be an asset
  • Excellent time management, customer service, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Must be able to function independently and handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure
  • Must be able to stand, lift, push, twist and climb frequently
  • Occasional sitting, walking, reaching, kneeling and bending
