About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, execute and document functional and technical tests based on product requirements
Plan and perform laboratory and field test campaigns, including exploratory testing
Test all aspects of receivers, from individual development features to complete product systems
Develop Python scripts and tools to automate test execution, data processing, anomaly detection and reporting
Analyze and visualize test results and investigate potential defects
Monitor product performance and verify stability of new developments and existing products
Document test procedures, executions, findings and results in structured technical reports
Report defects, help identify root causes and follow up on firmware adaptations and corrective actions
Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders and fellow test engineers to improve products and prevent regressions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Industrial or Geomatics Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent technical field
Experience with Python, MATLAB and/or C for test automation, data analysis or technical tooling
Strong Python skills are particularly valuable
Initial experience in software, hardware or system testing is an advantage
Strong analytical and investigative skills
Critical and curious mindset
Diligent, organized and hands-on approach to test planning, execution and documentation
Creativity and initiative in test design
Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with developers and team members
Excellent written and spoken English, particularly for technical documentation and reporting
ISTQB Foundation certification is a plus
General knowledge of GPS/GNSS principles is a plus
Experience with signal generators, oscilloscopes or other electronic laboratory equipment is a plus
