About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise the entire roof decking process and team
Plan and coordinate all aspects of assigned construction projects
Plan daily work goals to complete jobs on time while ensuring efficiency and quality
Conduct on-site safety meetings and ensure all safety protocols are followed
Supervise, train and coach crew members and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project specifications
Communicate with the superintendent and office support personnel to provide updates and address issues or concerns
Ensure equipment and tools are used properly and maintained
Maintain accurate equipment and materials inventory
Maintain a work environment adhering to company and OSHA standards
Submit timely and accurate timesheets, expense reports, delivery tickets, and similar documents
Interact with customers professionally and courteously
Perform other job-related tasks as requested by the Superintendent

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-3 years of experience in the commercial construction industry
Normal vision and hearing
Clean driving record (no DUI’s or super speed tickets in the last 5 years)
High school diploma or equivalent
Willingness to travel
Travel to various job sites, 75% weekday overnight travel
Overtime as required
Communication skills
Ability to work at heights as well as access heights from a ladder
Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions
Ability to work occasional weekend day(s)
SERD is a drug-free workplace
30-hour OSHA certification helpful but not required; the company will help obtain certifications
90-day probationary period
