About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle pre-litigation matters and draft legal pleadings
- Prepare defenses, interlocutory appeals, motions related to injunctive relief, and other routine filings
- Review documents and information to determine the legal grounds for pleadings
- Review acknowledgments of receipt and identify relevant information
- Request additional supporting information to inform legal drafting
- Draft pleadings in strategic cases, taking into account the specific circumstances and risks of each matter
- Ensure clarity, technical quality, and compliance with deadlines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree
- Strong legal writing skills
- Analytical ability
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to build clear, well-supported arguments
- Experience drafting legal documents in strategic civil litigation (a plus)
- Experience handling matters involving scams and fraud (a plus)
- Experience with pre-litigation matters and document review for the preparation of defenses (a plus)
- Ability to identify gaps in information and develop arguments appropriate to each case (a plus)
