About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle pre-litigation matters and prepare legal filings
- Draft defenses, interlocutory appeals, motions related to injunctive relief, and other routine pleadings
- Review documents and information to determine the legal grounds for filings
- Review acknowledgments of receipt and identify relevant information
- Request additional supporting information to substantiate legal drafting
- Prepare filings in strategic cases, taking into account the specific circumstances and risks of each matter
- Ensure clarity, technical quality, and compliance with deadlines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree
- Strong legal writing skills
- Analytical ability
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to develop clear, well-supported arguments
- Experience with legal writing in strategic civil litigation (preferred)
- Experience handling matters involving scams and fraud (preferred)
- Experience with pre-litigation matters and document review for preparing defenses (preferred)
- Ability to identify gaps in information and propose appropriate arguments for each case (preferred)
