About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze cases and identify settlement opportunities
- Negotiate with opposing parties, attorneys, and law firms
- Draft proposals, counterproposals, settlement terms, and settlement agreements
- Assess amounts involved, litigation risks, contingencies, and payment terms
- Submit proposals to internal stakeholders and/or clients for approval
- Monitor deadlines, signatures, payments, court approvals, and compliance with executed settlements
- Keep negotiation systems, tracking tools, and reports up to date
- Work collaboratively with the legal, finance, and administrative teams
- Manage a caseload with a focus on productivity, settlement conversion, and achievement of targets
- Identify critical situations or procedural discrepancies and report them to determine the appropriate strategy
- Lead negotiations and execute settlements in judicial and extrajudicial matters, focusing on debt recovery, liability reduction, and the efficient resolution of disputes
- Conduct legal and financial analyses of cases and oversee negotiations from the initial approach through formalization and fulfillment of the settlement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Experience in legal negotiation, civil litigation, debt recovery, or related areas
- Strong procedural and financial analysis skills
- Ability to draft and review legal instruments
- Strong organizational skills for managing a caseload and a high volume of demands
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in tracking tools, particularly Excel and legal case management systems
- Negotiation-oriented, analytical, organized, proactive, and results-driven profile
- Ability to conduct discussions firmly and courteously
- Ability to understand the interests involved and develop solutions that balance legal certainty with financial outcomes
