About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and manage import and shipping documents
- Monitor customs clearance procedures through cargo release
- Control costs, expenses, payments, and foreign exchange settlements
- Monitor operational deadlines, preventing demurrage charges and fines
- Schedule and follow up on deliveries with customers and suppliers
- Prepare reports and cost analyses for processes
- Liaise with customs brokers, carriers, terminals, and customers
- Keep customers updated on process progress
- Organize and control documentation related to import operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma
- Currently pursuing a college degree (preferred)
- Experience in import operations
- Basic knowledge of integrated systems
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Basic English proficiency
