About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract
Develop scalable cloud-native solutions
Apply best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and security throughout design, testing, integration, production, sustainment, and maintenance
Perform cloud operations and engineering tasks for scalable, resilient, and secure AWS cloud solutions
Optimize application performance and reliability in cloud environments
Design, implement, and sustain secure cloud architectures and networks
Implement cloud networking security controls, including STIG requirements
Implement identity and access management solutions and security monitoring frameworks
Support migration methodologies and minimize organizational disruption during transitions
Use CI/CD workflows and infrastructure-as-code development to support DevSecOps practices
Containerize applications
Support the design and development of Shared Services
Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems
Establish and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases
Prepare technical documentation for development and operational processes
Collaborate with development, operations, security, and product management teams
Architect, code, debug, and mentor in a hands-on technical role

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors and 12+ years or more of experience; Masters and 10+ years or more of experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Secret clearance required
US citizenship required
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2) certification
Practiced verbal and written communications skills
Ability to participate in team efforts to accomplish assigned tasks
Demonstrated experience in cloud operations and sustainment and performing the listed primary responsibilities
Experience with AWS cloud operations, sustainment, and maintenance
Knowledge of DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks
Experience with secure cloud architectures, networks, zero-trust principles, and defense-in-depth strategies
Knowledge of SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, STIG, IAM, and security monitoring frameworks
Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, Guacamole, SQL, and NoSQL databases
Experience containerizing applications
Ability to configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems
Ability to prepare technical documentation
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Preferred: Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1; Active Directory, AWS AD, SAML; Elastic, Git, Bitbucket, AWS console, SaaS offerings; MS O365, SharePoint, AWS AD, AWS; Windows Server; cloud certifications
