About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions across Oracle Cloud infrastructure and other cloud platforms
Develop cloud strategies and roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives and technical requirements
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and assess their impact on organizational goals
Drive adoption of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks
Optimize application performance and reliability in cloud environments
Design secure cloud architectures using zero-trust principles and defense-in-depth strategies
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
Implement and integrate identity and access management solutions and security monitoring frameworks
Facilitate customer onboarding and implement a consistent pathway to cloud adoption
Manage and optimize Oracle cloud environments, networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, and SQL systems
Implement and maintain Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole
Containerize applications to improve scalability and deployment efficiency
Support the design and development of Shared Services
Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems
Establish and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases
Prepare technical documentation for development and operational processes
Conduct security assessments and remediate cloud vulnerabilities
Collaborate with development, operations, security, and product management teams
Create reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Present architectural designs and recommendations to executive leadership
Mentor, guide, and supervise teams of up to five engineers and technical specialists
Lead architectural reviews and advise on complex technical decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years or more of experience; Master’s and 6+ years or more of experience; additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Must have an active Secret clearance
US citizenship required
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2) certification
Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in a customer-facing position
Experience administering Windows and Linux Servers and related services
Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML, and related standards, procedures, and processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Ansible, Oracle console, Elastic, Jira, Confluence, Git, and multiple OCI SaaS offerings
Experience onboarding customer log data from cloud platforms to on-premises or cloud-based analysis environments such as Elastic or Splunk
Preferred: Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1
Preferred: Experience with Zero Trust Architecture
Preferred: 4+ years of prior experience managing/leading teams/projects
