About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support systemic aircraft issues related to the Intelsat airborne system
- Define, review, and modify installation and maintenance documents and procedures
- Identify, develop, and drive process and tool improvements
- Lead cross-functional teams in triaging system interaction issues and driving them to closure
- Define dashboards and metrics and establish SLAs for the work conducted
- Create, review, and modify maintenance manuals, fault isolation manuals, and service bulletins
- Identify defects by reviewing system data logs
- Collect data and generate weekly/monthly metrics on reported, triaged, and resolved issues
- Serve as an SME for hardware-related technical issues and train other team members
- Work with Operations, Development, System Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Reliability, and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certifications
- Ability to address and troubleshoot problems associated with aircraft-based equipment
- Experience with avionics and flight systems
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR/EAR requirements
- Beneficial to have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- Beneficial to have 2 years of experience in an aircraft fleet support or engineering role, ideally within the Avionics industry
- Strong skills in reading electrical schematics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
