About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and build full-stack features across React/TypeScript frontend and Kotlin/Go/Rails backends
- Implement robust API integrations using BFF (Backend for Frontend) patterns
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces using the design system
- Write comprehensive tests and contribute to CI/CD practices
- Contribute to user and system observability and monitoring, including being on-call
- Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
- Collaborate with Engineering Manager and Product Managers
- Partner with Design/UX for end-to-end feature delivery
- Collaborate with engineers across the Golang, Rails, and Kotlin microservices ecosystem
- Work with Platform/DevOps on observability, monitoring, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with distributed teams in Australia, Portugal, and Vietnam
- Participate in occasional onsite activities such as team events, client meetings, or equipment handover
- Complete 3–4 interviews and a possible client assessment during the hiring process
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Go
- Hands-on experience in React/React Native
- Experience architecting end-to-end full-stack features
- Experience with REST/gRPC API design
- Experience with database and persistence layer design
- Experience managing schema and data changes over time
- Experience with user analytics and data transformation pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms; AWS preferred
- Experience with containerisation
- Experience writing comprehensive tests
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices
- Experience applying AI tooling and creating environments where agents can deliver solutions effectively
- Strong communication skills in distributed, async teams
- Comfortable moving across different languages and technology stacks
- Strong problem-solving orientation
- Ownership and autonomy in a distributed, async-first team environment
- Collaborative approach with strong product thinking and attention to craft
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Comfort moving across technology stacks and problem domains as a generalist
- Consistent focus on user experience and technical quality
- Candidates must be based locally in Vietnam
- Local residency required for compliance with Vietnam labor laws and employment regulations
