About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Train Sherpa 6 Integrator personnel on required SOF Tactical Communications (STC) platforms
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs
  • Create manuals, presentations, and Plans of Instruction (POIs)
  • Prepare Integrators to train end users on SOF and Joint Staff programs of record and unit-sponsored commercial technologies
  • Schedule and attend vendor-sponsored training events or study vendor documentation to maintain trainer-level proficiency
  • Collaborate with regional site leads to identify unit-specific training needs and tailor solutions
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements
  • Record training activities to track individual Integrator competencies
  • Maintain current and up-to-date training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of SOCOM experience
  • Military Instructor Training Course or similar Instructor Qualification or demonstrated Instructor experience
  • Strong background in DoD tactical/strategic communications and network architectures
  • Subject matter expertise in configuring, training, and supporting AN/PRC-163 and AN/PRC-167 radios and the L3Harris Communications Planning Application (CPA)
  • Proven expertise or in-depth knowledge of AN/PRC-161 Handheld Link 16 BATS-D radio
  • Proficiency with Tactical Radio Application eXtension (TRAX) software
  • Proven expertise or in-depth knowledge of AN/PRC-137, TRQ-43, and AN/PRC-160 radio systems
  • Strong understanding of High Frequency (HF) communication theory and antenna theory
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor training
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree with experience and/or 10–15 years of Special Operations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the NettWarrior ecosystem and ATAK/TAK tools preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Office Suite administration preferred
  • Experience in Linux administration, PKI, Docker, and networking protocols preferred
  • Familiarity with Android/iOS systems and wireless transport technologies preferred
  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment background and drug screening
