About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee instructional and operational aspects of Sherwood’s day habilitation and supported employment program for adults ages 18+
  • Establish quality assurances and parameters for adult services
  • Plan, design, implement, and evaluate service phases
  • Collaborate with leadership, parents/guardians, community stakeholders, service agencies, and governing bodies
  • Design systems to measure continuous quality improvement and program outcomes
  • Monitor services for compliance with DMH, Medicaid, licensure, certification, and best-practice requirements
  • Oversee adult curriculum and programming aligned with Missouri Quality Outcomes
  • Manage community partnerships and volunteer activities
  • Prepare for and participate in accreditation, licensing, certification, Provider Review, and Quality Assurance Review processes
  • Oversee referral, intake, enrollment, screening, guardian interviews, and consumer placement
  • Coordinate ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy services and consumer transitions
  • Attend community events to recruit job candidates, market Sherwood, and support awareness initiatives
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate program staff
  • Develop and maintain the Adult Services Program manual
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and regulatory data
  • Serve as liaison among families, Sherwood, funding sources, DMH, Missouri and Kansas VR, and other professionals
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding individuals, staff, and agency matters
  • Develop and manage the annual program budget with the CPO
  • Track grants, spending, service authorizations, usage, and billing accuracy
  • Provide program data and reports to departments and leadership
  • Attend Town Halls, Board of Directors meetings, all-staff meetings, and assigned committees
  • Directly lead and supervise all Adult Day Services team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work or related discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience working with individuals with Autism or related developmental disabilities
  • 5+ years’ experience Supervisory experience
  • Experience working with an aging population
  • Experience with the Individual Support Plan (ISP) process and implementation procedures
  • Experience with Medicaid documentation and billing
  • Training in Positive Behavior Supports, Gentle Teaching, Missouri Quality Outcomes and TOOLS
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Certification in FA/CPR, Blood borne Pathogens, Abuse/Neglect, MANDT, Level 1 Medication Administration, Class E Driver’s License
  • Experience with Therap and Paylocity software preferred
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate critical thinking
  • Positive demeanor and strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to exert, lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to demonstrate good balance, object handling, object fingering, feeling, simple hand grasping, firm hand grasping and occasional running or jogging
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Minimal day travel primarily in the KC Metro area
  • Must respect confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
