Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the technical direction of the Retail Media platform
Design scalable, maintainable architectures and lead the evolution of Node.js/TypeScript microservices and distributed systems
Design and build high-performance backend services, APIs, and frontend applications using Node.js, React, Next.js, and TypeScript
Architect and optimize data-intensive and asynchronous workflows using MongoDB, Redis, Algolia, BullMQ, and RabbitMQ
Support campaign management, ad serving, targeting, and reporting
Lead complex engineering initiatives across teams and drive architectural alignment
Mentor engineers and establish technical standards that improve engineering quality and platform scalability
Partner with Product, UX, Analytics, and Retail Media stakeholders to shape technical priorities and translate business needs into AdTech solutions

What you’ll need

Extensive software engineering experience, including experience as a Staff, Principal, Tech Lead, or similar technical leadership role
Strong expertise in backend engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture
Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks
Proven track record of designing and scaling complex systems
Experience driving architectural decisions and leading technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams
Experience in AdTech, ideally Retail Media, sponsored advertising, ad serving, targeting, auctions, or attribution
Ability to remain hands-on while influencing technical direction, mentoring engineers, and raising engineering standards
Experience collaborating in cross-functional product environments with Engineering, Product, and business stakeholders
