About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, coach, and develop engineers across the Events and Content teams, including hiring, performance management, and career development
  • Own delivery commitments for both teams, including scope, schedule, and quality
  • Escalate risks early with a recommended path
  • Set and defend technical direction, including requirements scope, architecture decisions, integration approaches, platform and tooling choices, and trade-offs
  • Serve as the technical decision owner where the two teams’ work overlaps
  • Partner with product, program management, and peer engineering teams to translate roadmap commitments into staffed, sequenced work
  • Review designs and code to identify integration and reliability problems before testing
  • Work alongside the outgoing ENC Large manager through 2026–2027 to absorb that team’s roadmap, customer commitments, systems, and staff
  • Maintain and improve engineering practices across both teams, including design review, test strategy, release process, and on-call or support rotations as applicable
  • Represent both teams in cross-functional planning, architecture review, and department-level resourcing discussions
  • Build succession depth by identifying and developing technical leads

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in software development, electrical engineering, or systems architecture
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience developing and delivering technical information in presentations
  • Ability to use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively
  • Ability to work on complex assignments requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Good judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Shure will not sponsor applicants for work visas
