About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define the community strategy for an emerging consumer AI product
- Build a valuable, trusted, and scalable home for engaged users
- Develop ambassador, advocate, and power-user programs
- Design and test engagement programs
- Create scalable programs and toolkits for member-led events and meetups
- Partner with social, brand, and creative teams to amplify community content
- Drive adoption in new markets through community-led outreach
- Explore AI-enabled, personalized, and scalable community experiences
- Partner with growth teams on referral and invite mechanics
- Identify creators, advocates, and early adopters producing compelling content
- Turn community participation into product advocacy, referrals, and organic growth
- Analyze community behavior, engagement data, retention, and advocacy
- Feed user stories, use cases, and emerging behaviors to marketing and product teams
- Test, learn from, and scale successful community programs
- Translate user behavior, feedback, AI use cases, requests, and friction into actionable Product and Engineering insights
- Identify unanticipated product uses and build feedback loops into the product roadmap
- Own community health metrics including activity, retention, sentiment, advocacy, and community-driven growth
- Combine qualitative feedback with behavioral data to identify patterns and opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience across community, social, developer relations, creator programs, product advocacy, or related areas
- Experience supporting at least one consumer technology product at meaningful scale
- Demonstrated experience building an ambassador, advocate, creator, or superuser program from the ground up
- Experience taking community programs from idea to launch, testing what works, and iterating quickly
- Strong interest in artificial intelligence and AI products
- Experience scaling an online community through automation, community roles, governance, escalation paths, and scalable processes
- Strong analytical instincts and ability to use community behavior, engagement data, and qualitative feedback to inform strategy
- Ability to translate community insights into actionable recommendations for Product and Engineering
- Strong writing skills and an authentic voice
- Understanding of internet culture and human-centered communication
- Comfort operating in an early-stage, evolving environment
- Track record of building trust as a core part of the community experience
- Experience building community around an AI, generative AI, emerging technology, or highly technical product strongly preferred
- Ideally, experience engaging early adopters or technically curious users around rapidly evolving products
- Nice to have: direct experience with AI, generative AI, AI-powered consumer products, AI agents, or emerging technology communities
- Nice to have: beta, early-access, or design-partner program experience
- Nice to have: experience with creator-led or user-generated content ecosystems
- Nice to have: experience working internationally or with distinct product personas
