About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage quarry extraction, production, maintenance and operational support activities safely, efficiently and sustainably
- Ensure continuity of quarry and processing operations while achieving safety, quality, productivity, cost, environmental and customer service objectives
- Drive Operational Excellence, develop people, optimize assets and ensure regulatory and company policy compliance
- Lead safety initiatives, required training, incident and near-miss investigations, corrective actions and permit compliance
- Manage drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, extraction, resource recovery, waste reduction, quarry planning and reserve development
- Direct production and mineral processing activities, deliver production plans and improve yield, throughput, reliability and efficiency
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance, capital investment needs, engineering and modernization projects, and asset lifecycle management
- Manage product specifications, technical documentation, by-product and waste inventories, performance reviews, sourcing support and commercial collaboration
- Prepare and manage annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets, monitor financial performance, analyze deviations and identify cost-reduction opportunities
- Establish and monitor operational and safety KPIs and promote innovation, digitalization and best practices
- Lead supervisors, technicians and operators through recruitment, training, development, succession planning, coaching and change management
- Report to the Director Cluster Operations
